The Amazon parrots are medium-sized to large. They can measure between 9.8 to 17.7in (25-45 cm.) Among its special features, we find its strong curved beak, broad rounded tail and rounded wings. It is a predominantly green parrot with details of color on the head. It can be found from Central America to Argentina and Uruguay. The Amazon parrots are very gregarious.


Parrots in Mythology: In the Indian mythology, it is related to many gods as a result of its beauty. Kama, the God of love, is represented mounted on a parrot and it appears in many love stories. In Christian symbolism, the Parrot represents the Immaculate Conception and it is for this reason that it can be found in old drawings of La Sagrada Familia (Holy Family) in Barcelona - Spain. The Parrot in the interpretation of dreams: It could be an indicator of our social ties and our communication with other people.
