Sun Orchid

(Epidendrum chioneum)

This orchid grows on the summits of the Chingaza Mountains (Colombia). Its splendid yellow flowers convey a radiant force, which is evident in its growth. It can reach 1m of height and it grows perpendicularly to the ground.
