Almond tree - Mandelbaum

This tree, grown for centuries in Asia was introduced into Europe through the Greeks and, since ancient times, it has been grown in Italy. This small tree, about 3 to 7 meters tall opens its pink or white flowers during the mid- to late spring. Almonds, together with its oil, are used in folk medicine for the treatment of kidney problems, urinary bladder and airways.
